Root Canals

Root Canal therapy refers to the process by which a dentist treats the inner aspects of a tooth, specifically that area inside a tooth that is occupied by its "pulp tissue." Most people would probably refer to a tooth's pulp tissue as its "nerve." While a tooth's pulp tissue does contain nerve fibers it is also composed of arteries, veins, lymph vessels, and connective tissue.
You could say that the purpose of root canal treatment is to create an end result where the tissues that surround a tooth's root will maintain a healthy status despite the fact that the tooth's nerve has undergone degenerative changes. Specifically, we mean that the tissues surrounding a tooth's root are not affected by bacterial infection and/or irritating substances leaking from those inner aspects of the tooth originally occupied by the tooth's nerve tissue.

Veneers, Crowns & Bridges

Porcelain veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded onto the front side of teeth so to create a cosmetic improvement for a tooth. Porcelain veneers are routinely used by dentists as a way to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned. Porcelain veneers are often used to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are chipped, worn, stained, crooked, or discolored. You need to realize, however, that case selection is an extremely important factor associated with predicting the success of this technique. Porcelain veneers cannot be utilized in every situation so please call

Tray Whitening

Dentists have known for years that tray whitening or bleaching is a fast, safe and predictable way to whiten teeth 2-5 shades in a matter of days. A whitening gel is placed in a tray that fits over your teeth. As the active ingredient in the gel, carbamide peroxide, is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and bleaches the colored substances. The structure of the tooth is not changed; only the tooth is made lighter and whiter. Fillings, Crowns, and Bonding will not lighten. The fit of the tray is critical to success of treatment. Impressions are made by your dentist. Accurate models of your teeth are obtained from which custom fitting whitening trays can be made.

Digital X-Rays
For decades now, unlike any major medical imaging methods such as ultrasound, nuclear medicine etc, all of which are digital, conventional x-ray imaging remains a largely analog technology. Making the transition from analog to digital brings several advantages to x-ray imaging. These would include improvement in contrast and other aspects of image quality by means of image processing: radiological images could be compared more with those obtained from other imaging modalities, electronic distribution of images within hospitals could make remote access and archiving possible, highly qualified personnel could service remote or poorly populated regions from a central facility by means of "teleradiology"; and radiologists could use computers more effectively to help with diagnosis.
